Mont Ventoux 2025
'more than just a climb'
Mont Ventoux weekender
25th - 28th September 2025
Mont Ventoux is legendary and it is set to play a major part in the 2025 Tour de France story. For us cyclists the mountain is mythical and the stories rich is hyperbole, sadness and elation. As a tour operator we find both the mountain and the region in which it resides, a wonderful place to explore and indulge our passions for cycling and provide focus to our cycling calendar.

With the latter in mind we have partnered with the fantastic Rich Birkett (https://richbirkettperformancecoaching.com) to provide all our guests with a 6 week pre trip guide on a strength training, mobility and nutrition plan to give guests the best chance of both enjoying the challenge and meeting your individual goals.

Whilst the mountain forms the centre piece of the trip we will also ride some of the best local roads including the Gorge de la Nesque, and the region to the North of the mountain which are beautiful, but do not often grab the headlines.

Our base for this trip is the beautiful village of Sault. Whilst not as visited as Bedoin, we find it to be a wonderful base from which to explore and an amazing place to relax and unwind post trip. A host of quiet and quaint restaurants allow guests to have a stress free few days off the bike and an opportunity to experience a more local and refined Provence.

Below we have outlined an itinerary, though this can be altered if riders wish to try something different.

RIDE NOTES
The routes we have highlighted are our suggestions, but if guests have other ideas or local knowledge then we are happy to support that. The main support vehicle will focus on those on the mountain as the climb is a challenge and it is often very warm.
RIDE NOTES
We will have lunch and coffee stops planned into each days route and will have plenty of water and 'rescue snacks' in the car though we suggest that riders bring their own fuel as climbing Ventoux is not a moment to experiment!
