Murcia Escape 2024

Murcia Escape 2024

In March 2023 we were extremely fortunate to travel to Aguilas, Murcia with the fabulous members of Portsmouth North End CC. We were so taken with the hotel, town and local roads - we have decided to run our own trip in April 2024.

We have chosen these dates to allow cyclists young and old to enjoy cycling on these quiet smooth roads. This trip will provide for all - no matter your ambitions, speed or cycling prowess. The only criteria is that you love riding your bike!

We will have an organised and guided ride each day as well as 'rescue vehicle' on call based at the hotel. For those guests that want to do their own thing, we can provide routes and guidance to allow you to get the most out of your trip.

For the duration of your stay you will be based at the Puerto Juan Montiel Hotel, Aguilas. This a very good 4* hotel with the best bike garage and gym we have seen - perfect for those who want to get in some extra off bike training.

We will provide transfers from Murcia or Alicante airport and can also provide local bike hire. The standard price includes flights from any UK airports, though there is also the option to have a ground package only.

Finally - non cycling partners/family are welcome and we have no doubt they will have a wonderful time in this most beautiful of Spanish towns.

What is included:

Flights from the UK to Murcia or Alicante.

Small hand luggage included + overhead locker bag

Transfers between the airport and hotel

4 nights half board accommodation - including lunch and dinner (based on two sharing)

5 days guided cycling for BC L2 ride leader

Supplementary costs:

local bike hire - £20 per day

bike luggage on flight - £90

single room supplement - £100
