United Kingdom
Potholes, dual carriageways, irate drivers and a plague of lycra louts... Well this is what the papers would have you believe. Whilst we acknowledge cycling in the UK has its imperfections, but we believe that we also have some of the most diverse terrain in the world for bike riding - both on and off road. We have designed our trips around the roads and trails we love to ride.
Our home roads and trails in East Sussex provide fabulous opportunity for skinny and fat tyre fun. Rarely a flat road and the beautiful South downs way are at the very heart of our love for cycling. Vineyards, breweries, beaches and a rich history provide great opportunities for living adventurously.
Looking west we also have amazing trips available on the Dorset coast and even further west into Devon and Cornwall. Our English trips have a bit of theme - using our beautiful southern coastline to inspire you on and off the bike. Seeking out varied terrain on the bike and opportunities for SUP and kayaking in Swanage or surf lessons in Croyde.
Staycations will be here and cool long after COVID-19 has done one!!
North Coast 500
The North Coast 500 has become a favourite for adventurers in all vehicle types. Following the route anti-clockwise the last tests include Bealach na Ba before heading east back to Inverness. It also means we get the least picturesque leg of the journey out the way first before indulging our senses and testing our legs down the west coast to Applecross before heading west back to Inverness.
From May 2022 we will be offering the NC500 as part of our portfolio of trip options. This trip is perfectly suited to a charity or corporate challenge or a club/school trip.
Whether you prefer the challenge of a 5 day adventure or 7 day mooch, we can work with you and local hotels to put your trip together. Sporta Bike + will be running our own trips in May of each year with 5 days of riding on the route made famous by Mark Beaumont and GCN. This route avoids the worst of the pinch points with those who prefer larger vehicles and is incredibly picturesque.
