It’s hard to find another Alpine base with this range of routes and terrain: from an easy lakeside spin to a demanding climb, Lake Annecy makes it possible for a group to find its own pace and experience some of the very best cycling in Europe.
I’ve just returned from a wonderful week in Annecy, where the idea for Sporta Bike Plus first took shape. Coming back to ride here with our groups is a reminder of why this place remains such a rewarding base for a cycling holiday. There really is something for everyone!
We’re planning flexible Lake Annecy cycling holidays for June and September 2027, for groups of six or more. Depending on availability, your accommodation base will be in Sevrier or Talloires—both well placed for discovering the lake and the surrounding roads.
The region’s cycling is unusually varied for the Alps. Follow the 36 km lakeside cycle path, choose rolling roads, or build a day around a major climb. Non-cycling partners are welcome too, so everyone can enjoy the lake and its villages in their own way.
A ride for every kind of cyclist
LAKE LOOPS
The 36 km lakeside cycle path offers a gentler ride, with room for scenic stops and a relaxed pace. Rolling routes give groups another way to enjoy the surrounding landscape.
ALPINE COLS
For bigger days in the saddle, possible routes include Semnoz, Forclaz, Aravis, Arpettaz, Croix Fry and Leschaux.
SUPPORTED DAYS
The 2026 trip outline included five supported cycling days, typically with two route options each day, a support van and a rider on the road. The 2027 itinerary will be confirmed for each group.
A big year for cycling in Haute-Savoie
The 2027 UCI Cycling World Championships are scheduled in Haute-Savoie from 24 August to 5 September 2027. For a late-August visit, a time-trial day and a loop around the lake may be of interest, but availability is already tight. Our planned group holidays are in June and September; ask us about the dates you have in mind.

These indicative estimates are per person, based on two sharing. They use a 7.5% uplift over 2026 package rates, rounded to the nearest pound. They are not confirmed prices; final 2027 prices will be confirmed later.
