Our Guide to Booking Your Custom Group Cycling Package

Planning a custom group trip is an exciting journey in itself. From the initial spark of an idea to the moment you clip in on day one, our goal is to make the process seamless. To help us build your perfect itinerary, we start with a few fundamental questions that shape your options.

1. When are you thinking of travelling?

Timing is everything in cycling.

  • Spring & Autumn: These are the "golden windows" for perennial favorites like Mallorca.

  • Summer & September: Ideal for the high-altitude challenges of the Alps, Slovenia, Provence, and the Dolomites.

  • Winter: If you’re looking to escape the frost, the Costa Blanca offers sensational riding conditions year-round.

  • Early April: The bucket-list window for those wanting to tackle the iconic Spring Classics.

Pro Tip: Check out our [Where & When to Travel] page for a deeper dive into what locations are best at any given time of year

2. How many travellers are in your group?

Group size dictates the best way to handle logistics:

  • Small Groups: For smaller parties, we often recommend ground-only packages. There is rarely a financial or stress-saving benefit to booking flights as a group for fewer people.

  • Larger Groups: For bigger squads, a flight-inclusive package is often superior. Not only does it provide ATOL protection, but it also "flattens" the price for everyone, ensuring no one is penalized by fluctuating airline algorithms.

3. What is your approximate budget?

We believe in a "no nasty surprises" policy. In a market where travel costs are rising, we are naturally sceptical of ultra-low "starting from" prices that often hide hidden fees.

To keep costs sensible, consider these pragmatic choices:

  • Clarity is Key: Choose a trip where inclusions (and exclusions) are explicitly stated.

  • The "Drive-In" Option: For UK guests, using Le Shuttle and driving into Europe is highly cost-effective when two or more share a vehicle. Northern Europe offers incredible cycling that is easily accessible by car.

4. What is your preferred length of stay?

We curate custom trips ranging from 3-night challenges to 7-night holidays.

  • The 4-Night Sweet Spot: This is our most popular duration. Four days of riding is a perfect physical challenge that fits into a long weekend.

  • Week-Long Stays: These offer more flexibility and recovery time, though they require more annual leave for those with busy work schedules.

Why Booking with a Pro Matters

Once we have your answers, we explore the best destinations that match your window and budget. However, there is one non-negotiable: Consumer Protection.

As a professional tour operator, we invest significant time and energy into ensuring we are fully compliant with Package Travel Regulations. This protects your money and your rights. In an era of geopolitical uncertainty, we strongly advocate for booking through a reputable, protected operator. Don't risk your hard-earned holiday on a deal that lacks the necessary legal cover.
