We could not be more excited that the tide is finally turning and with that, TRAVEL IS BACK! It has been a wonderful summer of sport and I am sure that we are not the only ones whose productivity has been affected by the TDF followed closely by the Olympics, with the Vuelta only days away. In many ways this has softened the blow of having to stay in, either because of the terrible weather or the pingdemic.
With life bouncing back and so many sporting successes, we have been inspired and this has been a very productive period for Sporta Bike +. Our Flanders trip for April 22 is filling up very nicely and we have been working hard to diversify our range of destinations and create relationships with local providers. Our trip to Wales proved really useful and gave us plenty of ideas for 2022 and also coincided with a week of incredible weather which made the short nasty climbs bearable and the farm tracks rideable!
At the end of August we are heading to Spain to visit both La Manga and Oliva Nova resorts to reconnaissance the best routes for our adventurers and familiarise ourselves with new protocols for travel and refine our cycling tan lines. Then in October we head to Mallorca to Porto de Pollenca to check out adventure friendly accommodation options and a variety of routes for 2022 and beyond.
Over the coming weeks, watch this space, as more trips will be added to our website and advertised through social media whilst we continue to work very closely with our colleagues at Sporta Media to present our material in a way that represents the sense of fun and adventure that encapsulates our offering.
Finally we are super excited to be taking delivery of our new cycling kit in mid August, this will be offered to all travellers across all our tours and fixed date trips. If you see us out wearing it, be sure to wave and say hi!!
To finish - 2022 feels like the year to look forward to, where adventure travel returns and wanderlust satisfied. Whilst cycling may be at the heart of our trips, multi sports or non cycling adventures and tours are still very much within our realm - making memories is what we specialise in.
